A life
in colour.
David Hilton is an artist and filmmaker based in Plymouth, England.
His paintings move between abstraction and recognisable forms: the suggestion of a horizon, the energy of a flower, light appearing through layers of colour.
This collection brings together works from his studio, inviting you to spend time with their surfaces, gestures and shifting spaces.
David on Saatchi ArtOn painting · In David’s words
“On the Brink, in motion, beginning in a place, at a place, moving through a place, a space. Drawn into being there, change and yearning: leads and signpost.”
“All from where you are watching and what you might be thinking, open spaces, painting. But don’t take these words for IT.”
